This premium 28-inch front road wheel features the legendary Mavic Open 4 CD rim, highly revered by vintage connoisseurs for its revolutionary \"Couche Dure\" dark grey hard-anodized treatment. This advanced oxide coating significantly increases sidewall surface hardness, reducing brake wear and ensuring outstanding structural integrity under high spoke tension. The rim is laced to a high-end, iconic Mavic hub featuring industrial sealed cartridge bearings (distinctly stamped H 8088 on the shell) known for their exceptionally low rolling resistance and superior weather sealing compared to traditional loose-ball systems. With a precise 19.3 mm outer profile and a 13.0 mm internal well optimized for high-pressure vintage racing clinchers, this wheel delivers a perfect blend of period-correct aesthetics and bulletproof reliability. An ideal upgrade for premium lugged steel frames from the late 1880s or 1990s looking for authentic, top-tier French performance.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Goldensteelcycles","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58467684516185,"sku":null,"price":129.9,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0805\/6609\/2121\/files\/wheel-mavic-open-4cd-mavic-hub_1.jpg?v=1783002368","url":"https:\/\/goldensteelcycles.com\/products\/mavic-open-4-cd-vintage-front-wheel-sealed-bearing-mavic-hub-100mm-28-clincher-700c-622","provider":"Goldensteelcycles","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
