Alphonse Redolfi was born in Italy in 1923 and later emigrated to France, where he took French citizenship. He was a successful professional cyclist between 1944 and 1952. His career highlights include a stage win at Paris-Nice in 1951, victory at the Circuit de l'Aulne in 1947, and three participations in the Tour de France (1948, 1949, and 1951). After his racing career, he founded his own bicycle company in Savigny-sur-Orge near Paris. Under the Redolfi brand, he produced high-quality racing machines, integrating his professional racing expertise directly into the frame construction. Until the 1980s, his workshop was a renowned address for custom frames in the Parisian region.
