Enik Aubisque - Classic Singlespeed Bike - 1990s

History:

Enik was a traditional German bicycle manufacturer based in the Sauerland region, known from the 1970s to the 1990s for its high-quality steel frames. The name goes back to the founder Karl-Heinz Niehues, whose initials formed the brand label. Enik produced many of its frames by hand and supplied both amateur and professional riders. Especially during the 1980s and early 1990s, Enik bikes were widely used in Germany and valued for their reliable craftsmanship, clean brazing, and sporty geometry.

The Aubisque model, named after the legendary French Pyrenean pass, embodied the brand’s philosophy: a robust yet elegant road bike for ambitious riders who valued classic lines and a direct road feel. With its timeless aesthetics and artisanal quality, it represents a piece of German cycling history.

Description:

This Enik Aubisque from the 1990s has been stylishly converted into a singlespeed. The classic steel frame remains at its core, complemented by modern updates that give the bike a clean, urban look. Instead of the original drop bars, it now features a flat handlebar that ensures comfortable control in city traffic. New Gipiemme rims add both a fresh appearance and reliable performance.

Condition:

The bike was completely disassembled, all bearings were cleaned and re-greased, and it was carefully rebuilt with many new parts. The frame is free of cracks, dents, or deformations and remains structurally sound. On the right side of the top tube, near the head tube, the paint has slightly blistered, but it is hardly noticeable and has no functional impact ( Picture 9). The bike presents itself in excellent mechanical and visual condition and is ready to ride – a modern singlespeed in a vintage look that delivers both style and reliability.
