Description:

An exceptional and complete vintage Campagnolo Gran Sport groupset, capturing the essence of classic Italian road racing performance from the 1970s and 1980s. Built with Vicenza’s legendary craftsmanship, the Gran Sport group served as the definitive choice for serious amateur racers and touring enthusiasts who demanded the refined mechanics of Super Record at an accessible level.

This full set features a pristine 170 mm Strada crankset paired with classic 52/42T chainrings, offering optimal gear ratios for high-speed road riding. Both the front derailleur and the friction downtube shifters feature original band clamps, making them ideal for traditional steel frames lacking brazed-on mounts. The stopping power is handled by a matching set of Gran Sport single-pivot calipers and ergonomic brake levers.

A standout feature of this particular package is the inclusion of rare French-threaded components—both the 1" threaded headset and the 35 x 1 mm bottom bracket (68 mm shell / 115 mm spindle length). This makes the groupset an exceptionally rare, turn-key solution for high-end French classic restorations such as Peugeot, Motobécane, Gitane, or Mercer framesets. Fully cleaned, inspected, and mechanically sound, this complete groupset is ready to elevate your vintage restoration project.
