Description:

An absolute masterpiece of race-bred Japanese metallurgy and Dutch design precision. This premium vintage Koga-Miyata Pro frameset represents the absolute golden era of professional steel racing, meticulously constructed from Miyata's proprietary, top-tier Hardlite Spline FM-1 chrome-molybdenum steel. This legendary tubing features an advanced triple-butting process enhanced with unique internal spiral reinforcements (splines) down the main tubes. This brilliant engineering creates an incredibly stiff bottom bracket junction for explosive power transfer while maintaining a compliant, lively ride quality to damp harsh road vibrations.

What truly elevates the Pro series is its rich racing pedigree and stunning attention to technical detail. These framesets feature the exact high-performance geometry ridden into the European pro peloton by legendary world-cup teams like Ijsboerke, Capri Sonne, and Tulip Computers. A standout premium feature of this frame is the beautifully executed internal brake cable routing through the top tube, keeping the bike's silhouette incredibly clean and aerodynamic. Unlike mass-produced frames of the era, Miyata handled their entire steel manufacturing completely in-house—even drawing their own steel tubes in proprietary raw material high-ovens. The frames were then precision-brazed by Japanese master builders, resulting in pristine lugwork, investment-cast dropouts, and a structural longevity that easily outclasses its Italian contemporaries.

Presented in its official factory-labeled size of 56 cm, this frameset features standard BSA threading, a 27.0 mm seatpost fit, and a clean clamp-on front derailleur interface. It is the definitive, bulletproof foundation for an elite period-correct restoration or a stunning high-end neo-retro build destined to stand out on any classic ride.
